Face and Neck Lift Photos

As we age, we begin to experience thinning of the skin and a loss of facial fat, leading to a lack of youthful contours in the face. This is only exacerbated by external factors, such as gravity, sun damage, hereditary factors and stress. If you are seeking a surgical solution to improve visible signs of ageing in the face and neck, a facelift or neck lift may be ideal. If you are considering this procedure, take a look at Dr Laniewski’s before and after photos to see if his work appeals to you.

What is a facelift and neck lift?

Face and neck lifts are both surgical procedures designed to improve the appearance of an ageing face and neck, addressing concerns such as:

  • Skin relaxation on the face causing sagging
  • Deepening fold lines between the nose and corner of the mouth
  • Jowls developing in the cheeks and jaw
  • Excess fatty deposits under the chin
  • Loose neck skin
  • Muscle banding in the neck

This procedure is performed through the following steps:

Incisions: A traditional facelift incision usually begins in the hairline at the temples, continues around the ear and ends in the lower scalp. If you are also undergoing a neck lift, a second incision under the chin may also be required.

The lift: After the incisions have been made, Dr Laniewski will sculpt and redistribute fat from the face, jowls and neck. He will reposition underlying tissue and lift and tighten the muscles of your face and neck. Your skin is then redraped over the uplifted contours and excess skin is trimmed away.

Closing the incisions: Dr Laniewski will then close your incisions with sutures.

Face and neck lift candidates

If you are concerned by the appearance of sagging skin, excess fatty deposits and deep creases in the face, you may be a candidate for a face or neck lift. Contact Dr Laniewski’s clinic in Sydney to organise a consultation to determine whether you are the ideal candidate for this procedure.

Face and neck lift recovery

Following your face or neck lift, Dr Laniewski will place a bandage around your face to minimise bruising and swelling. Small tubes may be placed under the skin to drain excess blood or fluid.

Dr Laniewski will give you specific instructions regarding post-operative care and will let you know when you will be fit to return to your regular activities.
