Face Lift/neck Lift – Post Op Instructions
- Post surgical garment is to be worn morning and night only for 4 – 6 weeks following surgery. The garment can be taken off for short periods of time. Please remember to take your garment to the hospital on the day of your surgery. NB: The garment can be cleaned by cool wash and dry. No heat to be used.
- Post surgical tape to worn for 6 – 8 weeks following surgery.
- No driving for 2 – 3 weeks following surgery.
- You may experience pain, swelling and bruising for the first 2 – 3 weeks following surgery.
- Scars will be minimal and fine around ear in crease and behind ear but will fade over time. Scar gel is highly recommended once tape is removed.
- No gym or strenuous work for 6 weeks following surgery.
- You can return to work 2 – 3 weeks following surgery.
- No swimming for 4 – 6 weeks or until completely healed.
- Heal light is highly recommended pre and post surgery for three times a week or at least two times a week for 4 – 5 weeks.
- Post op appointments will be scheduled for one week, six weeks, three months, six months and twelve months.
